August 3 -6, 2015, Harvest Church held
four days of Vacation Bible School centered
on the theme of "Everest." The event
featured Bible stories, science experiments,
singing, snacks, games and a great time
together. 47 children were divided into six
teams, each with an adult leader. The
teams rotated through a series of stations
with activities that reinforced each day's
lesson.

Harvest enjoyed celebrating summer on
July 19, 2015, at the Harvest Church Fire
Pit.  Almost 40 people attended sharing a
meal and fellowship. They sang songs,
played games, and simply soaked up the
sun on a beautifully warm Sunday
afternoon.

On October 11, 2014, Harvest fed the
farmers in Chickasaw County who are
feeding the world. Saturday morning the
women of Harvest Church made 500 ham
sandwiches and packed 500 sack lunches
and then handed them out at the Farmers'
Cooperatives in New Hampton, North
Washington, Ionia and Lawler as a way of
saying "thank you, we appreciate you" to
our local farmers.

Harvest Church was honored to host the
2014 Pine Lake Women's Retreat.
It went very well.  We had 87 women
there.  9 went down on our leadership
team to host it.  The weather was great.
The speaker was wonderful and we had a
lot of fun and fellowship.  It ran smoothly
and we got a lot of appreciative comments
from the attendees.  Yeah, God!
On Sunday September 14th, 2014,
Harvest Church held a special Blessing of
the Harvest service.  Farmers were asked
to drive their combines or other farm
machinery to church.  We sang songs
about harvest and we heard a sermon
about harvest and we had a special time of
prayer by the farm machinery.  We
prayed for a safe and bountiful harvest
and we prayed for God to bless the
hard-working men and women who feed
the world.
Area youth attended Student Leadership
University. The students were challenged
to think about their responsibility to
society while considering Christian views
in today’s moral and ethical questions.
They learned about where God can take
them and how to face the challenges that
the future will hold – how to think, dream,
and lead! The students also got to
experience Washington, D.C.
Harvest Church recently enjoyed an
opportunity to repaint a home in
New Hampton that was in need as part of
the church's Tools of Hope mission.
